Following is a brief description of the primary modules provided with the Trajectory solution.

Procurement

Manages the first phase in the asset management lifecycle: the acquisition phase. The application helps ensure that acquired resources meet corporate standards, can be serviced by the organization, are monitored against current stock, and are compatible with other assets. Procurement also allows organizations to negotiate volume discounts and control individual procurement requests. These practices enable organizations to reduce costs when purchasing assets, mitigate risks associated with maverick purchases, and maximize the utilization of existing resources. As a result, employees obtain the right resources as quickly and cost-effectively as possible, yielding increased productivity.

Financial Management

Provides a comprehensive view by enabling organizations to capture, monitor, and track all costs associated with assets, including acquisition costs, servicing, upgrades, and disposal costs - from the time assets are acquired to the time they are retired. Managers have the information they need to evaluate assets in totality and to determine which are the most productive, where costs can be reduced or eliminated, and how to best manage those assets on an ongoing basis.

Software Asset Management

Offers a best practices implementation to automate and manage the most common processes within software management. Software Asset Management is a straight-forward, standardized, and proactive way to manage contracts, entitlements, licenses and more. Using our powerful integration tools, you can establish two-way data sharing between our applications and other third-party information systems.

Chargeback

Enables IT to operate like a business by implementing invoicing and chargeback programs to the business units that consume the services based on actual use. Automation of this cost allocation process assures management that these assignments are made efficiently, accurately, consistently, and in accordance with the organizational business rules. Implementing a chargeback process provides a greater degree of visibility of the financial impact of IT support and services and promotes the responsible financial management of IT resources.

Contract Management

Contracts enable organizations to simplify, automate and evolve the business processes related to contract management. It tracks the terms and conditions of various contracts and sends automatic notifications for important dates such as contract expirations. Contracts also ensure that organizations have sufficient time to renew contracts and save money by avoiding penalties for failing to return assets on time. Furthermore, Contracts helps organizations manage and track software licenses, preventing over- or under-licensing as well as the costly penalties. By providing a complete and accurate view of the contracts associated with each asset, organizations can eliminate the risk of paying for services already covered in an agreement or for assets that are out of circulation. Most important of all, Contracts enables organizations to strategically manage vendor relationships by providing critical data that can be used in future planning and negotiations. With this automated tool for making contract management processes more efficient on an ongoing basis, organizations can lower their total cost of asset ownership.
